Brief History of Church ELCA, Cody, Wyoming
Our Church was started in 1949. In July 1999, Trinity celebrated
it's 50th Anniversary. That same summer, the congregation broke
ground to start the construction of a new church building at
3401 Sheridan Avenue. The congregation moved into the new building
October 1999. We then sold the old church building to another
Cody Christian congregation.
On October 1st, 2000, we held our open-house, inviting our
neighbors. We held a community service at which we dedicated
our new building to service and mission in the name of Jesus
Christ in Cody. We serve about 300 Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC)
members directly; and we are here to serve our neighbors living
in - or visiting - Cody.

Brief History of the Lutheran Faith
Trinity's historic mission as a Christian Church in Cody is
to provide worship, prayers, witness, and service to our community,
our nation and the world at large through our affiliation with
the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
The Lutheran Church, when faithful to its historical roots
and Confessions, is a Biblically conservative Church made up
of joyful and committed Christians serving their crucified and
risen Lord. Anyone searching for a Church that truly teaches
the Bible need look no further.
Lutherans believe the Gospel, which means "good news",
directed struggling sinners to Jesus Christ alone. The Gospel
joyfully declared that Jesus Christ has already paid for all
our sins by His death on the cross. Lutherans believe God gives
full forgiveness of sins and heaven is a gift to those who believe
in Jesus and who put their trust in Him alone as Savior,.
