Vision and Mission of Trinity Lutheran Church
For Jesus Christ, the world and ourselves, we pray, work, reach out and grow as a family in faith, worship and fellowship.
Our Vision
Offer more opportunities for worship, prayer and adult education.
Build on youth education and growth.
Become a friendlier congregation with community outreach.
Our historic Christian mission is universally accepted as the expected and generally good thing to do. But our vision of how best to do this is always subject to change with the changing needs of our community.
In response to these changing community needs, Trinity's church council created a committee - the Renaissance Committee - to help the congregation understand these new challenges and opportunities - and to facilitate the individual members to work together to meet these needs while fulfilling the historic mission.
Why Renaissance Committee - and not Mission or Vision Statement Committee?
Renaissance refers to a time when the Western-world moved from a medieval era, to an era where invention and discovery flourished! Renaissance was not triggered by single acts of bravery or ingenuity. It was instead a collection of acts by individuals of many different talents. It was not fueled by the bold acts of a few, but by the everyday acts of the many!
The continuation of Trinity's transformation over the first 50 years clearly demonstrates that the Cody community benefits from Trinity's broad perspective!
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage
